NEWS

01-19-06 Umm. We're back! Again.
Kurt and I are playing one of favorite gigs - the Turf Club Old Stage acoustic night on Feb. 5. We really get a kick out of turning down the volume, and playing some different stuff, plus it gives me a chance to play my Portuguese guitar! We also would like to extent a big hell yeah to our new bass player and old friend Fred Lies! Ben, Tim and Fred have played together before and it's been a blast jamming together again. Things are sounding better than ever!!

10-26-05 We're back!
We have two ultra-fun shows with some of our favorite people in the next couple weeks! We've taken a couple month break due to Kurt and his wife having a new young'un. We've got some new recordings underway and new songs as well. It's been nice to make some noise again...

05-31-05 West Coast Tour - May 2005
We're home!! Despite overheating the truck in the mountains, a nail in a front tire, storms in Nevada, driving 27 hours straight to get to our show in Denver, getting pulled over in Colorado, etc, etc - we've made it home and we had a blast!

Many thanks go out to our hosts: Sheila and Kevin, JoAnne, Ken and Angie, and Cory; the bands: Duvall Star, 5 Star Sinner, Brood, Gruesome Boys, Haymaker, The Dimes, Lines in Analog Sound, Red Cloud, Stoli and the Beers, Sleezus Fist and the Latter Day Taints, and Hate Kate.

We are also in the process of setting up a West Coast tour for mid-April. Watch for dates and venues coming soon.

Finally, we are already starting to record our next release - starting this weekend! We'll post samples soon.

12-07-04 - We are playing a bunch of shows to celebrate the release of our new CD Below and Beyond. Watch for reviews and more show dates soon!

10-11-04 - Our new CD Below and Beyond is complete and in our grubby hands! We will be updating the site and adding some MP3's of tracks that didn't make the record very soon. We will be sending out copies to the media shortly and the disc will be available for purchase. CD release show in the works for December...

04-10-04 - We can't stop ourselves! Even though we have way more than enough tracks for our next record, we keep putting down new ones. Watch for more samples soon. It will be worth the wait!

03-02-04 - We just found out that our last album was one of Filter magazines picks of the month a couple months ago. Along with Blink 182, Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) and our friends in Hymies Basement no less...

02-03-04 - After way too long having this site lost in Internet hell, we now have access again to update this sucker! Just in time cause we have a show this Thursday night, Feb 5 at the Turf Club! We also have a sample song of some of the new tracks we've been recording.

08-02-03 - Our mini tour was a blast! Had great shows and played with some excellent bands. Thanks to the Phenoms, the Paper Bullets, The Buzzards and The Greedy Loves. We hope to get back soon, and hit some other new joints. We have a show coming up at the Entry which is a release party for Shit-Fi.

07-15-03 - We're excited about our shows coming up in the next couple days, including our first gig in Chicago! We've been doing some more recording with the famous Leo Kuellbs on the kit, and may also lay down some tracks with Glen Mattson (from Kingdom of Ghosts) on the kit. We're going to have lot's of material to choose from for the next disc.

05-13-03 - FYI, keeping with the "blood" theme, the Bloodshot will be playing with us this Saturday in place of the Bleeding Hickies! There are a couple other possible gigs in the works - in and out of town so stay tuned. See the shows page for details.

04-18-03 - We have some fun shows coming up! We've begun recording our next album and already have 9 tracks down. We'll be doing some overdubs and recutting vocals but we should be done pretty soon. This one seems like it's going to have more of a live/raw feel to it. We also have a track on the soon to be released Art-A-Whirl compilation CD along with Work of Saws, Mike Brady and lots of others.

02-18-03 - We're getting ready for our show next Wed. Feb 26th in the 7th St. Entry. Contact us if you'd like to get on the guest list. There will be some new tunes and maybe a guest or two. Atmosphere are playing the mainroom early with the Heiruspecs backing, so you could make a night of it!

02-10-03 - We just found out our disc was on the Radio K "Top Adds" list for Feb. 3, and has been getting airplay! We are lucky to have a station like them in our little town. The disc has also been getting airtime on the Local Sound Department (KFAI), KQ Homegrown, and other non-conglomerates.

02-06-03 - We are already preparing for our next recording, watch for MP3's soon, as we'll be posting things as the project progresses. A video is also being talked about which would be directed by a local director who has been getting some great national press. Finally, we are preparing for our first extended tour which will be happening in April. Check back for dates.

12-27-02 - CD Release Info
We are pleased to announce the new CD by Minneapolis group Unguided Missile, entitled Time Well Wasted. The disc contains 9 new songs, a remix of a track that was on the Twin Town High Volume 5 CD, a remix of a track that was on the groups first poorly promot..., I mean "hard to find" release, and one bonus hidden track.

Local heroes Jessy Greene (Jayhawks, Geraldine Fibbers, Viovoom), and Andrew Broder (Fog) make guest appearances on the CD (violin and vocals respectively). Speaking of which - Jessy's new disc is available now and is super good and her CD release party is Feb 14th at the 400 Bar. The new Fog CD should be out soon as well and it will blow your mind.

All songs were recorded and mixed at Crazy Beast Studio by bandmember Ben Durrant, and the disc marks the first release under the Crazy Beast imprint (with other releases in the works). The CD was mastered by Mr. Indy Rock - Dave Gardner who did a smashing job.
